Terraform CLI and AWS CLI on Ubuntu

Terraform CLI

sudo ls: requests the sudo password before the install, so no prompt interrupts the later commands
wget: downloads the HashiCorp signing key into the system keyrings
echo: adds the HashiCorp apt repository for the machine's Ubuntu release and CPU architecture
apt update and apt install: refresh the package lists and install Terraform

curl: downloads the AWS CLI v2 installer for x86_64 Linux
unzip: extracts the installer into ./aws
./aws/install: installs the AWS CLI in /usr/local/aws-cli and links the aws command in /usr/local/bin
